OUT OF DANGER BEHIND BULLET RESISTANT GLASS DISCOURAGE THE GUNMEN IN BELGIUM: THREE HOLD-UPS AND ARMED RAID PER DAY |

WAT IS "DUPLIVER" bullet proof safety glass ? It is a laminated glazing, a composite glass product consisting of at least three glass panes permanently joined together by several synthetic interlayers. Pressure and temperature during manufacturing are such that the synthetic PVB layers become permanently bonded to the glass.
The main feature of this type of glass is as follows: in case of damage or breaking, and depending on its composition, the glass meets the requirements concerning test S or N.S. and the bullet does not pierce the glass. On the other hand, and contrary to tempered (toughened) safety glass, this type of glass can be worked after manufacture. This is a second important feature. It can thus be sawed, cut or tapped. Furthermore, Dupliver® glass keeps its original value as time goes by thanks to the high quality of its components. Some other, ‘temporary’ protections do not have this advantage. In addition, the identification of each glass volume by means of an individual code is a psychological deterrent.

2. Maximum manufacturing dimensions
3. Technical precautions during installation
The bullet proof glass can also meet standards for burglar proof glass. However, one should bear in mind that burglar proof glass must be set in a frame. Usually, bullet proof glass used for counters is installed without such a frame, in which case it does not meet the standards for burglar proof glass. One also needs to bear in mind that under no circumstances can the glass composition be altered, otherwise, the certification will automatically expire. |   |   |
